According to a statement that was made by Britney’s manager, Larry Rudolph, released late Tuesday by her label, Jive Records, Britney was thought to be ‘successfully completing their program’ and recently checked out from the Promises Malibu Alcohol and Drug Rehab Treatment Faciity in Southern California. According to The Associated Press, her manager also said, “ We ask that the media respects her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time”.
Following the minimum stay of 30 days at the facility, Britney checked in on February 22nd due to several high profile public acts that capture the world’s attention. Some of there acts include shaving her head, beating a car with an umbreally, being repeated photographed while partying without underwear and reportedly shaving her legs in the bathroom of a Hollywood hotel’s pool house.
According to his publicist, Kevin Federline, Brithney’s husband has scheduled to celebrate his 29th birthday on Wednesday, March 21st by throwing a party at the West Hollywood nighclub Eleven and second bas at the Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday. He also reportedly visited Spears while she was staying at the facility to offer her support.
According to the AP, there weren’t any specifications indicating the reason why Spears had sought treatment at the plush, oceanfront Promises which offers detox, counseling and also 12-step programs for the price of $48,000 for a 30-day stay. Even with it’s high price and superior location, Promises is very well known for its philosopy of ‘tough love’ – they also require their pateitnts to do their everyday chores by themselves and it is considered to be part of their rehabilitation.
Eventhough the minium stay for most the rehabs facilities are 30 days, there have been reports from Reuters that Promises founder, Richard Rogg has said that the usual stay at the facility is about 45 days. Yet there are celebrtities like country singer Keith Urban who just recently spent 3 months at the Betty Ford Center for treatement of alcohol abuse.
During press hour, Brithney’s spokesperson was not reachable for any comments.
